Kalabash World, Third Eye Media and Brazen Entertainment present *BIGGER THAN HIP HOP* 2006 with Dead Prez, the group that have generated a fervent underground following and respect within the hip hop community, and whose notoriety is furthered by a reputation for dealing head-on with black power and politics in their music and everyday life is coming to the UK to perform alongside UK support and spoken word

This event highlights the importance and relevance of artists like Dead Prez who release social commentary on the state of populations who are isolated and marginalised by the current dramatic situation of world politics.

Working with current UK artists Sway, Knightshift, Black Twang & TY, this tour seeks to recapture the energy and power of the people by motivating and harnessing the possibilities of partnership between artists and the public and organizations behind this event.

Dead Prez will perform alongside solo appearances by M1 from Dead Prez and UMI from the RBG Family (Revolutionary but Gangster). They alongside others will speak out in support of Tookie Williams, anti-war, other issues. Introducing for the first time in the UK an appearance by UMI from the RBG/POW Family

These artists follow the revolutionary principles and guidelines passed down from great leaders like Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and Huey P. Newton. The RBG Family consists of real leaders working for the empowerment of people worldwide.
While the Family primarily uses music to promote their messages and codes, they also try to be very active in their community.

Dead Prez, M1 and his partner Stic.Man have been hitting hard with albums like "Let's Get Free" "Turn Off the Radio vol1" "Turn Off the Radio vol2: Get Free or Die Trying" and "RGB: Revolutionary But Gangsta" M-1's first solo album "CONFIDENTIAL" will be released on March 21, 2006 through Sotti/Koch Records.

Umi from P.O.W./PEOPLE'S ARMY/RBG FAM is a creative musician with an insightful sound. He has brought forth numerous works with Prisoners of War and The People’s Army/RBG FAM and now introduces his solo works. In his respective career, he has opened for or shared the stage with The Roots, Dave Chapelle, Mos Def, Styles P, Maceo Parker, Busta Rhymes, Young Bloods, dead prez, David Banner and Erykah Badu just to name a few. As of date, he has released a solo project entitled A Race Against Time Volume 1 and has collaborated with Scribe to bring forth P.O.W's Street Report Volumes 1 and 2.His solo work not only compliments the earlier P.O.W. releases, it also introduce a new style and approach to the hip hop world. His business minded grind has made it able for him to consistently perform and setup domestic and international showcases. Just like his current project title, umi's work ethic has proven to be a race against time. He has written and acted in a film entitled Under The Gun which is set to release early 2006. Umi is currently working on several new mixtapes and his debut solo album. Watch for P.O.W.'s highly anticipated debut album in stores late 2006.
